Breathing System Apparatus RN

RN is a Self Contained Breathing Apparatus designed for maintenance interventions in chemical plants and industrial areas, for rescue intervention and, generally, in all cases where there is, or may be, oxygen deficiency. RN is fitted with an automatic demand valve which keeps a positive pressure in the mask thus avoiding any possible inward leakage of contaminated air from the outside. Should it become necessary the positive pressure mode can be activated by acting on the special button that acts as a supplementary air command, too. The demand valve is connected to the medium pressure hose by means of a quick couplingwhich allows to disconnect it very easily for maintenance. The back plate is made of vacuum formed polypropylene, it is extremely robust and anatomically shaped to allow a comfortable distribution of weight and remains steady on the wearer’s back even when crouching or crawling. The supporting harness is provided with a special padding to increase comfort and with a soft belt in the hips area which increases portability of the equipment. All harnesses and padding are in aramidic and para-aramidic material and self-extinguishing foams. Special handles integral with the backplate are provided for carrying the set along. The pressure reducer keeps the outlet pressure constant throughout the emptying of the cylinder and is connected to an easy to read phosphorescent gauge. The cylinder has a pressure of 300 bar and is fitted with a valve according to EN 144.
RN can also be used in conjunction with a wheeled BA Spasciani RC or an air line feeding system by means of the optional 4-way valve.

Breathing System Apparatus FR

FR is a type 2 Self Contained Breathing Apparatus specifically designed for fire fighting. FR adds the highest degree of safety and comfort to the efficiency, versatility and simple use. Materials and technologies employed in FR models are of the highest standard and they are all used to make the breathing apparatus components very high resistant to flames and able to resist to Flash Over test as per EN 137:2006 standard. FR is fitted with an automatic demand valve which keeps a positive pressure in the mask thus avoiding any possible inward leakage of contaminated air from the outside. Should it become necessary, the positive pressure mode can be activated by acting on the special button that acts as a supplementary air command, too. The demand valve is connected to the medium pressure hose by means of a quick coupling which allows it to be disconnected very easily for maintenance. The medium pressure hoses of the reducer and of the demand valve are covered by a special Kevlar sleeve to protect them from flames. FR takes advantage from the unique RN System warning built into the demand valve. This is activated when the pressure left in the cylinder drops below 55 bar. The signal originates from a sounding vibration caused by every inhalation. In this way the full capacity of cylinder is made available to the user for breathing. The acoustic warning is related to the respiratory frequency of the user and allows the user to distinguish his own signal from those emitted by nearby fellows or noise (Self Test Function). The location of the warning device protects it from frost or dirt. System RN Mini

The RN MINI is an open-circuit self contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) indipendent from the environment. The RN MINI is designed for use in case of emergency and for industrial applications that require a high level of respiratory protection in very polluted environments or where oxygen in
insufficient. The breathable air is supplied to the user from a compressed air cylinder by means of a pressure reducer and an automatic demand valve connected to the mask; exhaled air flows to the ambient atmosphere through the exhalation valve without recirculation inside the mask. The RN MINI is a lightweight apparatus, intended for short interventions and equipped with a small and compact back-plate carrying system to allow operators to easily access confined spaces. The breathing apparatus RN MINI consists of the following

FULLFACE MASK

SK 1203 System

SK 1203 is a Self-contained open-circuit compressed air breathing apparatus incorporating a hood for escape (Emergency Escape Breathing Device) and it is used for self rescue in all the environments where dangerous situations may occur due to fire fumes or lack of oxygen. SK 1203 is extremely easy to use and it does not require special training, the air flow is automatically activated when the hood is taken out from the bag and it supplies the operator with a constant flow of breathable air for 15 minutes. The small weight and the special ergonomic shape of the bag enable to carry the apparatus SK 1203 along in a ready for use status even for long periods so that it can be donned and activated immediately in case of emergency. SK 1203 is designed to grant to the user a constant flow of air to escape from the dangerous surrounding, at the end of the air reserve a special valve opens and allows to breath ambient air that at that point shall be free of contaminant. SK 1203 is made of a cylinder, a valve / pressure reducer, a breathing tube, a hood and a transport bag. The 2 l 300 bar cylinder is directly connected to the valve/reducer that is provided with a gauge which continuously indicates the pressure inside the cylinder. The breathing tube that feeds the hood is connected to the valve/reducer and it is positioned inside the bag in such a way that the flow is activated when the hood is taken out from the bag. The hood is provided with high visibility visor and rubber collar that grants a perfect tightness and that fits with every face shape. The hood is also provided with inner half mask for the reduction of the dead space and with a valve which opens to the ambient air when the air reserve is finished. The bag is provided with a transparent window which enables to control the gauge from outside and with closing seals which enable to easily detect if the apparatus has been used or tampered.

Fuge System

FUGE is a Self Contained Breathing Apparatus designed for escape (Emergency Escape Breathing Device) that
in case of emergency, on demand, delivers an air flow for a minimum guaranteed time of 15 minutes. It is meant
to be used in all environments where dangerous situations may occur due to fire fumes or lack of oxygen.
FUGE adds the highest degree of safety and comfort to the astonishing field of vision of SPASCIANI TR 2002 BN mask which is part of it. FUGE is fitted with an automatic demand valve which keeps a positive pressure in the mask thus avoiding any possible inward leakage of contaminated air from the outside. Should it be necessary, the positive pressure mode can be manually activated by acting on the special button that acts as a supplementary air command, too. The pressure reducer and the cylinder valve are integrated and provided with
gauge (a) indicating the pressure inside the cylinder. The pressure reducer keeps the outlet pressure steady throughout the emptying of the cylinder. The opening/closing knob (b) is anti-slip and easily allows to open/close the air supply. In the reducer there are also:

  • The connection for the feeding hose (c), i.e. the hose connecting to the demand valve for the medium pressure air supply
  • The safety valve (d)
  • The refilling connector

FUGE is held in a carrying bag whose purpose, besides containing all the aforesaid fittings, is also to protect the set from any possible tampering. Its yellow colour and the photoluminescent strips allow an easy identification making it visible also in the dark and differing it from other emergency devices typically orange. It has a velcro closure and a grip strap for a fast opening as well as a warranty seal. The bag is provided with a resistant carrying shoulder strap. One side of the bag has a transparent window making the gauge always visible and allowing to check at any time the charging status of the cylinder which is contained in it. The bottom of the bag has a foam base with fixing belts to accommodate the pressure reducer and keep the whole fittings in the correct position during transport and mask pulling out.

Should it be necessary, the positive pressure mode can be manually activated by acting on the special button that acts as a supplementary air command, too. he supporting harnesses of FUGE RESCUE is fitted with a set of straps to keep the cylinder in position and to allow the operator to wear it in the most comfortable way according to everyone’s needs and allowing to move even in narrow spaces FUGE RESCUE comes with one 2 L 300 bar steel cylinder 3 granting 15 minutes duration. The pressure reducer and the cylinder valve are integrated and provided with gauge (a) indicating the pressure inside the cylinder. The pressure reducer keeps the outlet pressure steady throughout the emptying of the cylinder. The opening/closing knob (b) is anti-slip and easily allows to open/close the air supply.

BVF System

BVF adds the highest degree of safety and comfort to the efficiency, versatility and simple use of the MK2 System, as well as the astonishing field of vision of the Spasciani TR 2002 and TR82 mask. BVF is fitted with an automatic demand valve which keeps a positive pressure in the mask thus avoiding any possible inward leakage of contaminated air from the outside. Should it become necessary, the positive pressure mode can be activated by acting on the special button that acts as a supplementary air command, too. The demand valve is connected to the medium pressure hose by means of a quick coupling which allows to disconnect it very easily for maintenance. BVF takes advantage from the unique MK2 System warning built into the demand valve. This is activated when the pressure left in
the cylinder drops below 70 bar. The signal originates from a sounding vibration caused by every inhalation. In this way the full capacity of cylinder is made available to the user for breathing. The acoustic warning is related to the respiratory frequency of the user and allows the user to distinguish his own signal from that emitted by nearby fellows or noise (Self Test function). The location of the warning device protects it from frost or dirt. The supporting harnesses can be regulated and they allow to put the cylinder in the most comfortable position on the operator side or front allowing him to move even in narrow places. The pressure reducer keeps the outlet pressure constant throughout the emptying of the cylinder and is connected to an easy to read phosphorescent gauge. The steel or composite cylinder has a capacity of 3 liters with a pressure of 300 bar and is fitted with a valve according to EN 144. BVF can be used in conjunction with a wheeled BA Spasciani RC or an air line feeding system by means of the optional 4-way valve. The BVF/A 1303 becomes in this way a back up unit that in case of lack of air from the air line automatically supplies the operator with an air reserve sufficient to leave the intervention area.

RC MK2 4603

RC respirators are ideal for the protection of the operators involved in long duration works in chemical plants, polluted areas and, generally, in all cases where there is, or may be, oxygen deficiency and long autonomy is needed. The compressed air line supply unit model RC 4603 is one of the main components of the breathing apparatus with demand valve. RC respirators are made of a mobile supply unit mounted on a trolley
able to feed, depending on the additional equipment required, up to two operators at the same time at a max distance of 50 metres from the cylinder. For every operator a medium pressure supply hose, a carrying belt, a demand valve and a mask are required. The demand valve, the mask and the general working principle of the reducer on the supply unit are exactly the same used for Spasciani breathing apparatus type RN and BVF and they bring back to the general description of the mk2 system. RC 4603 supply unit is mounted on a two tyres trolley provided with a reel for the tube. The trolley is also provided with the RB pressure
reducer, which maintains the outlet medium pressure constant independently from the pressure in the cylinder, two pressure gauges that continuously read the high and medium pressure, the alarm whistle which activates simultaneously with the alarm on the demand valve and a quick coupling for the connection of a tube for a second operator. The trolley is provided with two high pressure tube to connect two 300 bar cylinders (to be ordered separately) equipped with EN 144 valve. The high pressure tubes are provided with release
valves to replace cylinders when in use. The connection of the feeding system to the demand valve is made by 8×17 medium pressure hoses available in different lengths and provided with quick safety couplings to be ordered separately. Two hoses can be connected to the trolley, one by the reel and the other by the second coupling on the reducer. The medium pressure hose shall be carried along by the user carried by the special carrying belt provided with snap hook. The demand valve used in the RC respirators shall be type A or BN. The two types only differ for the connection to the mask. Demand valve A type is provided with standard screw connector to EN 148-3 (M45x3) while type BN is provided with snap in connector to DIN 58600. Type A demand valve may be used with TR 82 A or TR 2002 A masks while type BN only with TR 2002 BN. In both models the positive pressure is automatically activated by the first breath in and maintained in the face piece thus impeding any possible inlet of contaminated air from outside. RC 2603 System
